ABOUT JAZ
I'm a 27 year old, full time, pop surrealist artist, based in the city of Brisbane, Australia...
I specialize in painting big eyed girls, fairies, mermaids, and other creatures in fairytale (and sometimes dark!) situations. I draw inspiration from a lot of things - vintage storybooks, dreams, movies, nursery rhymes, Alice in Wonderland, steampunk, nature, everyday occurances, sea animals, magazines, museums and art history.
For as long as I can remember I have loved doing anything creative - you could say I was born with a paint brush in my hand! After finishing a Commerce and Marketing Degree in 2006, I realised that persuing my dream of being a full-time artist is what I needed to do. So now, my day to day existence is dedicated to art, along with being a Mummy, a Wife and everything that comes with those tags!
I live with my gorgeous husband Wade, our beautiful daughter Ariella, and our little black & white cat - Oreo!
